La Vallée du Moulin

Eastern Townships

So much to tell, so difficult to summarize the passion behind La Vallée du Moulin. Firsthand it’s a man with a vision and a dream. The one of an innovative and visionary engineer, Serge Proulx, that was able to built, step by step, the astonishing complex that is today the Vallée du Moulin.

It has become a family affair where each member is involved in the management, creation or marketing of their products derived from nature and innovation.

La Vallée du Moulin is dedicated to the processing of three categories of products: figs, maples and honey.

Mylène (part-time, food processing manager), Anne-Marie (full-time, business management), Étienne (full-time, maple syrup producer, site maintenance and greenhouse management) and Marie-Michèle (full-time, beekeeper, shop management and social networks).

The first and sole fresh figs producer in Quebec; the company embarked on this new production in state-of-the-art greenhouses in 2018.

The estate also includes a 1500-tap maple grove crossed by the ‘’Rivière au Saumon’’ The maple syrup produced is used, among other things, to make magnificent maple jellies.

Finally, colorful beehives punctuate the landscape of the valley where the hard work of the bees produces a fragrant honey with aromas of the surrounding nature and flowers. Flavours that are perfectly expressed in their honey jellies.
